А.Гуревич, "Избранные труды". Примерно в 1200 году дело было.
Собственно, вот оно:
Raimbaut:
Marquis Albert, it is true I have loved
the deceiver you provoke me with
that has swayed from me, and from good worth!
But I can't do more, as in nothing I have failed her
instead I have served and honoured her ever!
But her, and you, may torment your faith
on which you too have perjured a hundred times
since the Genoese protest that you,
in spite of them, levy tolls on their road.
Marquis:
By God, Raimbaut, you bear evidence of this:
that many a time out of will to give
I have taken wealth, and not for riches
nor for any treasure I might want to hoard!
But I have seen you a hundred times through Lombardy
walking, as befits an ill jester
poor of wealth and with a hideous lover
needing somebody to gift you with some food:
and recall how I found you in Pavia.
Перебранка идет в ключе "- Ты бандит и предатель! - А ты голь перекатная и бомж!", причем все это в звучных стихах и при полном взаимном уважении. Финал хорош - прямо-таки козлом назвали:
Marquis:
God only keep me, Raimbaut, my Squire,
in which I have put my heart and my hope
for my detriment it befell to find you and sir Pier,
face of a cankerous goat, big belly.
Raimbaut:
Marquis Albert, all your warriors
have such a fear of you and such mistrust
that they call you the whoring marquis,
disinherited, unfair and untrustworthy.
